Executive Vice President, Kenny Lund was named as one of the winners of Food Logistics' Rock Stars of the Supply Chain award. The recognition is for the Lifetime Achievement category and acknowledges the hard work and vision of each recipient.
"Supply chain rock stars are the backbone of the cold food chain. The words used to describe many of this year’s winners range from collaborative, passionate, innovative and forward-thinking to inspired, driven and dependable," says Marina Mayer, editor-in-chief of Food Logistics and Supply & Demand Chain Executive. “New this year, we broke the award down into four distinct categories: Top Warehousing Stars; Top Shippers; Rising Stars; and Lifetime Achievement. These winners continue to go above and beyond to improve food safety, enhance efficiency and disrupt supply chain disruptions.”
Chief Executive Officer, Eddie Lund stated, "For Kenny's entire career in transportation, he has been all about distributing food efficiently to our great nation. He takes a lot of pride in doing it the right way, while using technology as a means to form better relationships. All while sharing his knowledge and expertise to further the industry positively. This makes Kenny a Rock Star!"
Regarding the recognition, Kenny said, "Thank you Food Logistics! It is a humbling surprise to receive this recognition. Thank you also to those who nominated me. I have been blessed to work for a great company that values its employees and encourages everyone to do everything they can to efficiently move food all over this great land. My father taught us that we are not just brokering loads, but that we are helping feed millions of people. Our software and 3PL services have evolved to help companies do just that. This is a wonderful honor that I share with all the employees with whom I work."
