Hello King County Creative Connector Readers,

Thanks for tuning in! There are several things we'd like to draw your attention to this month.

Harbor Island Studios is open for business and available to rent for film, television and commercial production! To inquire about rental possibilities, please complete the inquiry form on this page and we will respond readily to your inquiry. If you are not ready to inquire about a rental and you have questions, feel free to email us at creativeeconomy@kingcounty.gov.

The next public tour of Harbor Island Studios is on 9/1 at 10am. You are invited - please RSVP here to join the tour.

In response to common requests, we have established Creative Economy Office Hours. The first session will be on 9/1 at 1pm. These will be open to anyone who has questions, concerns, ideas or input to share. You are welcome to join us here.

We hope you are all faring well, and creating great work. Our hearts are with those who are impacted by the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes.

Local Sightings Film Festival 9/15 - 9/24

Presented by Seattle’s Northwest Film Forum, the 26th Annual Local Sightings Film Festival is a virtual-and-in-person showcase of creative communities from throughout the Pacific Northwest. The 2023 program, which runs from September 15–24, features a competitive selection of curated short film programs and feature films, inviting regional artists to experiment, break, and remake popular conceptions around filmmaking and film exhibition.

Local Sightings champions emerging and established talent, supports the regional film industry, and promotes diverse media as a critical tool for public engagement. Passes are available here .

Shoreline Music Summit 9/23 1-7pm

Sonic Guild invites you to the 5^th Annual Shoreline Music Summit featuring two panels on marketing new releases and sync licensing at London Bridge Studio. RSVP to reserve a spot here.
