Immunization Requirements for 7th & 12th Grade
shot_preparation.jpg
Students entering 7th grade will need to have one dose of meningococcal (MCV4) vaccine and one dose of the Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, and acellular pertussis) vaccine.

Students entering 12th grade will need to have a second dose of the meningococcal vaccine. The second dose must be administered on or after the 16th birthday. If the first dose of meningococcal vaccine was administered after the 16th birthday, a second dose is not required.

Ohio law allows a 14-day grace period for the beginning of the school year. If a student does not obtain the required vaccinations and provide written documentation (immunization record) or an exemption note to the school, the school will exclude that student on the 15th day of the 2021/2022 school year
until the immunization requirement is fulfilled.

Your child may have already received this vaccine at his/her most recent check-up. If not, please schedule an appointment with your primary health care provider. In addition, the Warren County Health Department provides a variety of clinic hours offering vaccinations at a low cost. Their number is 513-695-1468.

Please send updated vaccination records that reflect that these requirements have been met to your child’s school nurse.

Kings High School Presents...
Support the Kings High School Theatre Department by attending their next show, Songs for a New World, April 29 & 30 and May 1.

One of the characters in Songs for a New World says, "I don't want to philosophize. I just want to tell a story." And that line describes Songs for a New World perfectly; in fact, it tells a whole collection of stories.

Every song in the show is essentially about the same thing: those moments in life when everything seems perfect and then suddenly disaster strikes, in the form of the loss of a job, an unexpected pregnancy, the death of a loved one, the end of a marriage, imprisonment, even suicide. But it’s even more about surviving those moments. It's about the way we regroup and figure out how to survive in a new set of circumstances – a new world – even against seemingly overwhelming odds.

Shows are on April 29 & 30 at 7:00 p.m. and May 1 at 2:00 and 7:00 p.m. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, there are only a limited amount of tickets available for purchase at www.kingstheatre.net/tickets. Get yours today!
