Do you still have questions regarding the 4.96 mill facilities bond that will be on the ballot on November 5? How will it affect you? How much will it cost? Why do we need a bond?

The continued enrollment growth in our community has been great! We love having all of our new families join us in the District! However, we are running out of room in our school buildings! Did you know that 3 out of 6 of our school buildings are now at or over capacities and two more of our buildings are very close to being at capactiy based on the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission formula?

We will be providing you with information here in the newsletter and all of our social media sites over the coming weeks to help you get the facts. In fact, we have created a website that explains the District's "WHY." Check it out!

Send an email to with any questions or concerns you have. Who knows, someone else may be looking for the same answer!
Join Us for Community Bond Information Nights
Join us to learn more about the upcoming bond issue.

On Tuesday, November 5, Kings Local Schools will seek the passage of a bond issue for school construction and renovation. The passage of this 4.96 mill bond will finance the first part of the District’s master facility plan to address growing enrollment.

Kings Superintendent, Tim Ackermann will be hosting three Community Bond Information Nights in September to give more information and answer any questions our community may have regarding the bond issue.

Please join us on any one of the dates below and feel free to invite your friends and neighbors, especially those who don't have children in the schools.

We hope to see you!
Hat Week at KME
Mrs. Shepherd's first grade class at Kings Mills Elementary kicked off Hat Week this week by creating a picture based on the poem "Notice" by David McCord.
Bus Safety

Bus Driver Bob Elfers from Kings Transportation made his rounds to our elementary schools this week to talk about bus safety. Ohio law requires children in grades K-3 to be taught bus safety. Each student received a coloring certificate and PRIDE points on the safest way to ride.

In last week's EBBN we showed this adorable kindergartener and we mistakenly identified her. This cutie is Sarah Burkhouse. We apologize for the mistake.
