dineL.A. Restaurant Week takes place twice a year and showcases Los Angeles as a premier dining destination while highlighting the diversity of culinary experiences L.A. has to offer.
Tommii Lim first produced the mural two years ago when Fashion District resident Ariana Nussdorf (co-founder of This is AYAN) organized enough contributions and supplies to create a community mural installation event. In recent months, the artwork was affected by the influx of graffiti to the district. Unfortunately, due to budget cuts brought on by COVID-19, the City could not provide the materials for the piece to be reconditioned. After months of pursuing resources and with an endowment from ESI Ventures Inc, the mural was rehabilitated and re-established as an emblem of the community found within the LA Fashion District.
Special thanks to Art Chemist and all the volunteers who came out during the two-day project!
