Bridge Improvements
Updates as of November 19th

In the next few days, the city reports that the contractor will be working to open the bridge to traffic by removing the temporary traffic control signage and construction equipment. By Nov. 22, the majority of the items below should be completed.
  • The majority of the traffic control signage, detour signage and metal pedestrian fencing will be removed.
  • All the bridge ramps will open to traffic.
  • Walker Street will open to traffic.
  • All-way stops signs will remain at the ramp intersections and at the south frontage road (regional trail crossing).
  • There will be one lane of traffic in each direction along Wooddale Avenue with left turn lanes to access Highway 7.
  • The metal railing on top of the concrete railing will be installed.
  • Some portable concrete barriers will remain on the west side of the bridge to protect the newly placed concrete.
The contractor will be back in spring 2019 to complete the remaining roadway work and the landscaping adjacent to the bridge.
