District Seeks Project Team Members 
Start/End Times Study -  
Applications due by TOMORROW, November 9th                            
St. Louis Park Public Schools is seeking project team members for a school start/end times study during the fall and winter of 2018-19.  
 
The purpose of the study is to determine the optimal schedule to meet the overall health, academic and social/developmental needs of all K-12 students.  
 
This work will include recommendations for bus routes and pick-up/drop-off times for all students and will consider the school day as well as before-school and after-school activities and childcare.

DETAILS:
  • Seeking 15-20 Project Team Members with multiple perspectives
  • Meetings scheduled on November 19, December 17, February 4, and March 4
  • Meeting time is 4:30-6:30 p.m.
  • Location to be determined.
  • Public input opportunities in December and March
  • School Board anticipated action by March 25, 2019

Lunchroom Volunteers Needed      
No Experience Necessary!    

We need your help!  Ideally, we'd love to have 3 volunteers each school day assisting in the lunchroom.   
No experience needed!  Assist staff in helping make the lunchroom run smoothly.  Get on the C.A.S.E.!
 
C    = Cruise the room
A    = Assist students when they raise their hands
S    = Sanitize the tables
E    = Enjoy and have fun!

Lunchroom volunteers come first to the PSI main office, sign in, get a name tag and are then directed down to the lower level to the cafeteria.

STEP Food Drive - November 5-19                              
 
The fifth grade Student Leadership Team is collecting Food Drive donations for STEP November 5 through November 9 (TOMORROW).  
 
Please click HERE to see a list of requested items. Kindly, check expiration dates on non-perishable food items before sending in your donations.
 
Top requested item donations:

Cereal Canned meats/fish Quinoa
Spices Condiments
Your favorite meal ingredients Dried beans or lentils Whole wheat pasta Pasta sauce
Toilet paper Toothbrushes and toothpaste
 
 

 
** We are also looking for volunteers to transport the donations to STEP on Tuesday, November 20th. If your are able to help, please contact Julie Harris at  [email protected].

Volunteers Needed for Math Night-Nov. 13! 
 
We are still looking for volunteers to help run PSI's annual carnival of math stations, including: brain teasers, challenges, contests, giant Connect 4, giant checkers, and more.
 
Working at a math station is easy and fun! Volunteers may work in shifts, or run a game for the entire night. Consider signing up with your child or another parent (grandparent?) for a shift, and then enjoy playing the other part of the night!
