NEW Kids Place Lost & Found
Please Check For Missing Items
Please note that Kids Place (child care at Central) has added a Lost & Found rack that can be found at the EAST side of the building, at Door #21 (by the cafeteria).
Please also continue to check the PSI Lost & Found whenever possible. We currently still have quite a few sweatshirts, jackets, and water bottles.
PLEASE label ALL your child's belongings (clothing, footwear, water bottles, lunch bags, etc.)
so we can return 'found' items to their owner.

Math & Science Connection
Intermediate Edition
Since math is orderly, children can solve the same problem using different strategies- and still come up with the right answer. Children will see that math and science are integrated - and are part of their daily lives.

PSI Upstander Day - Wear Orange!
Wednesday, October 24, 2018
October is National Bully Prevention Month. School Counselor, Anne Moore, has been doing guidance lessons with each class about how to identify bullying behaviors and how to be an Upstander. An Upstander is someone who stands up for others and stops bullying when it happens. Upstanders are important to prevent and stop bullying from happening. More than half of bullying situations (57%) stop when a peer intervenes on behalf of the person being bullied (Youth Voice Project).
Wednesday, October 24th, we will celebrate Upstander/Unity Day! Students are encouraged to wear orange to show that they will be an Upstander by spreading kindness, acceptance, and inclusion of others.
For more information on how to talk to you child about bullying, click here. More information about Upstander/Unity Day can be found here.

2018 Kindness in Chalk
PTO is thrilled to be joining the movement, Kindness In Chalk (Started by an SLP Mom)!
On Sunday, October 14th, PSI PTO will spread kindness by covering the sidewalks and playground at PSI with positive words, phrases, quotes and images that speak of love, peace, hope and acceptance with the intention of bringing smiles to the faces that need it the most during National Bullying Awareness Month.
Consider this an open invitation for parents, family members, aunts and uncles, teachers, and friends to make an impactful difference for someone's day (or week, or year, or life). And, hey, who doesn't love playing with sidewalk chalk. Our goal is surprise the kids on Monday, October 15th.
