From School Leadership

February 22, 2024

Dear Park Spanish Immersion Elementary School Community:

It was great to engage with so many families at Connect Times last week. Thanks for collaborating with us in the education of your children. We hope that you received helpful information about how your child is thriving as well as things we are working on to help them continue to grow.

It was fantastic to watch our students lean into their brilliance at the school drama club performances yesterday! See here for a few photos. Congratulations to our students and the many, many people involved with our drama club, under the direction of Sra. Kim Wieber. All are invited to see "El Príncipe Rana" this weekend at the Middle School Performing Arts Center. Please see below for more information.

Have a great week, and keep reading!

Sincerely,

Corey Maslowski, Principal

Kelsey Clark, Elementary Support Supervisor

P.S. Yesterday was "Bus Driver Appreciation Day." Thanks to our drivers who work hard to foster safe and caring transportation for our students daily.

Meet the PSI Staff

Meet the PSI Staff

In this section, we will be featuring some of our amazing PSI Staff so the community can get to know every adult in the building better, as we all work together to support all students at PSI!

This week we want to introduce you to three PSI Staff members. Milissa Hoffman is a second grade teacher, Judy Contreras is a third grade teacher and Ricardo Franco is a fifth grade teacher. We are so happy to have them!

The PSI Drama Club presents "El príncipe rana" (The Frog Prince)

“He wants to be a frog again?”

It may be hard to believe, but it’s true. After the Frog Prince is kissed by the beautiful princess, he discovers that life in the castle isn’t exactly the “happily ever after” he was expecting. This year's Drama Club students will share their twist on this classic fairytale during the following two evening performances at the SLP Middle School Auditorium:

  • Friday, February 23, at 6:30 p.m. (the Monday rehearsal group)
  • Saturday, February 24, at 6:30 p.m. (the Thursday rehearsal group)

All PSI students watched the performances on Wednesday, February 21, during the day.

Performances will be in Spanish and are open to the public at no charge.
