From School Leadership

March 7, 2024

Dear Park Spanish Immersion Elementary School Community:

It has been a fun week of student learning! It will be great to see our fifth grade band students' performance at the District-wide band concert at the High School at 7:00 p.m. tonight. Under the direction of Sra. Teighan Brummel-Culver, our students have made great progress this year!

This is National School Social Worker Week! We are grateful for Sra. Dana Baumeister for the many things she does daily to support our community. Please join us in thanking her!

In collaboration with our PTO, we are hosting a "PSI Literacy Night" on Thursday, March 14 from 6:15-7:30 p.m. in the PSI Media Center. Join us to learn more about literacy in our school, related to dual language immersion, the READ act and our new literacy curriculum. Child care will be available. To help us plan for child care, please fill out this form here.

As a reminder, our PTO Silent Auction starts this Saturday, March 9th. There are a lot of great experiences and items. The money raised helps support our Amity intern program. Please see below for more information.

Take care, have a great week, and thanks for being members of our community!

Sincerely,

Corey Maslowski, Principal

Kelsey Clark, Elementary Support Supervisor

Golf Day in Fifth Grade Physical Education Classes at PSI

St. Louis Park High School Varsity Girls Golf Coach, Freddie Boyle, and players on the Boys and Girls high school teams enjoyed teaching a golf lesson to some of our students. Golf is a wonderful sport our students can participate in that promotes lifetime physical well being. Students are eligible as seventh graders to play golf for the high school team during the spring season.

In our SLP elementary schools, our specialist classes rotate on an A, B, C, D, E day schedule. We do this so that students do not consistently miss classes on a particular calendar week day. Please see the March rotation schedule.
