From School Leadership

February 15, 2024

Dear Park Spanish Immersion Elementary School Community:

We hope that you are having a good week! It was fantastic to see so many families at Math Night last Thursday. Please see here for a few photos.

As a reminder, we do not have school tomorrow due to Connect Times. We are looking forward to seeing and meeting with families tonight and tomorrow. When you're in the building, please check out the many items in our Lost and Found. Also, please check out the student art work in the halls, including for Black History Month.

We will not have classes on Monday due to Presidents' Day, and we look forward to seeing our students on Tuesday.

Take care, have a great week, and keep reading!

Sincerely,

Corey Maslowski, Principal

Kelsey Clark, Elementary Support Supervisor

P.S. As a reminder, Kids Place children need to be pre-registered to attend, including during Connect Times.

Meet the PSI Staff

Meet the PSI Staff

In this section, we will be featuring some of our amazing PSI Staff so the community can get to know every adult in the building better, as we all work together to support all students at PSI!

This week we want to introduce you to three PSI Staff members. Heather Briant is a special education teacher, Odelaise Milián-Porto is a second grade teacher and Kathy Ninnemann is the office administrative assistant. We are so happy to have them!

The PSI Drama Club presents "El príncipe rana" (The Frog Prince)

“He wants to be a frog again?”

It may be hard to believe, but it’s true. After the Frog Prince is kissed by the beautiful princess, he discovers that life in the castle isn’t exactly the “happily ever after” he was expecting. This year's Drama Club students will share their twist on this classic fairytale during the following two evening performances at the SLP Middle School Auditorium:

  • Friday, February 23, at 6:30 p.m. (the Monday rehearsal group)
  • Saturday, February 24, at 6:30 p.m. (the Thursday rehearsal group)

All PSI students will see the performances on Wednesday, February 21, during the day.

Performances will be in Spanish and are open to the public at no charge.

PSI Career-a-Palooza - Presenters needed!

K-5 A-E Specialist Calendar

In our SLP elementary schools, our specialist classes rotate on an A, B, C, D, E day schedule. We do this so that students do not consistently miss classes on a particular calendar week day. Please see the February rotation schedule.
