Happy Halloween! Thank you for a fantastic 2019 season! Our Children's Farmyard, tours, Inn, and restaurant are now closed, but will reopen May 9, 2020. Until then, visit us at our Welcome Center & Farm Store, or sign up for our year-round public education programs. We're busy organizing programs for the winter;  check our calendar  for regular updates.   Photo by Agricultural Education Coordinator Susie Marchand .
Cooking with Pumpkin
Have extra pumpkins after today's Halloween festivities? Here are some of our favorite recipes for using them up to make delicious snacks in the kitchen or over a campfire!
Celebrating Farm to School Month
October is National Farm to School Month, a time to celebrate the connections between children and local food. Vermont FEED, our partnership project with NOFA-VT, is working to connect the 3C’s of farm to school—cafeteria, classroom, and community—throughout Vermont.
What World Do YOU Want in 2030?
Seventy-five students from 12 Vermont schools arrived at the Coach Barn to answer this question. They're participating in our Cultivating Pathways to Sustainability Program, which challenges student teams to make a difference in their communities by tackling a project to address one of the U.N. Sustainable Development Goals at the local level.

A Tax-Wise Way to Support the Farm
Many tax-savvy donors are giving through the Charitable IRA Rollover these days. If you're 70½ years or older, you can make a gift directly from your retirement account to a nonprofit like Shelburne Farms, without having to pay income taxes on the amount transferred.
