Middle School Sports information 2022-2023
Learning Gate competes against neighboring charter schools in the Tampa Charter Athletic League (TCAL). The Fall Sports Program consists of Boy's Soccer, Girl's Volleyball and Coed Cross Country. This is a competitive league, so the majority of sports have tryouts and roster cuts.
To participate in tryouts your student must have a completed sports physical and sports application packet submitted to the front office prior to the first day of tryouts. Coaches will not accept paperwork at the practice field.
You can download the necessary forms: https://learninggate.org/parent-info-2/#middle-school-sports
The updated tryout times are
Boys Soccer 8/24 and 8/25 from 4pm-5pm at Land O Lakes Rec Center.
Girls Volleyball 8/22 and 8/23 from 4pm-5pm at Tampa Baptist Conference Center
Coed Cross Country 8/29 from 3:45-4:45 at the Hanna Campus.
Students are not required to participate in both days of tryouts.

Save Your Sneakers For LG!
Gotsneakers mission is to partner with the sneaker community to recycle and reuse quality pre-loved sneakers. Our sneaker drive fundraiser keeps sneakers out of landfills and reduces toxic chemicals from being released in our air and soil. All reusable sneakers from our sneaker drive fundraiser program are recirculated to secondhand markets so people can access quality, pre-owned footwear at affordable prices. All heavily used and damaged footwear is recycled to reuse materials or to convert waste into new energy.
