Learning Gate News 2018-19
From Ms. Pratt
Thank you for being patient with dismissal as everyone is figuring out what time is best to pick up students. Please remember to not come before your child’s dismissal time. It blocks the line and earlier dismissal families can’t leave. If you come too early you will be asked to park in the north parking lot and sign in to get your child or leave the line and come back later. If you wish to pick your child up from the bench you must sign in the front office with your driver’s license.

Our varsity volleyball team pushed through and fought as a team and came out victorious against Trinity! Our serves, passes and tenacity contributed to this amazing victory!
JV also played their first game. The JV girls came out with a positive attitude and worked really hard! Looking forward to a win for our next game! Go LG!
Our co-ed cross country team competed in our first meet of the year, the Halloway Park Jamboree. Everyone finished the 3K race in under 30 minutes! It was quite impressive to watch them give their all and finish strong.

Student Council 2018-19
Student Council held elections for the 2018-2019 Executive Board last week. Our new Student Council President is Christian Rios. Our Vice President is Alex Borysov. Our Secretaries are Bodhi Rodriguez and Rhys Dawson. Gabe Sison is our Treasurer. Arabella Griffith and Camryn Conley head up the Legacy Project. Olivia Collins and Ana Balic are in charge of the Design Committee. Jack Behuniak and Elijah Meyers co-chair the Dance Committee. John Campbell and Alex Sabella will be heading up our Fundraising Department. Congratulations to you all for your hard work and dedication.
The Executive board has chosen to focus on environmentalism this year and improve the Middle School campus in a myriad of ways. We hope to showcase our natural areas such as the spring-fed lake and improve our conservation efforts around campus. Look to the newsletter for information and updates on the most recent projects. We look forward to 2018-2019 being the best year yet!
