Julie Wilcox- Treasurer

Julie lives in Bristol, RI with her husband Bob, two children, Sarah and David and active pup Abby. Julie is the Assistant Controller for the Diocese of Providence managing the day to day accounting operations and external audit process. When not working or chauffeuring the kids to their activities, she loves going for walks with Abby, shopping, watching football and spending time with family.

Why are you involved with Thrive Outside?
Thrive Outside is a wonderful community organization committed to connecting kids to nature and our environment.  There are emotional, educational and environmental benefits to providing children opportunities to get off their electronics and engage with the outdoors. It's fulfilling to be part of a movement that creates opportunities and provides solutions for kids to thrive outside.

What's your favorite outdoor activity?
Walking Abby and outdoor Zumba

Best piece of advice received?
Treat others the way you want to be treated.

Accomplishment most proud of?
Being a mom - it's a tough job!

If you could time travel, where would you go?
Perhaps the Holy Land during biblical times. That would be fascinating!

Pet Peeve?
Paying interest - I'm an accountant lol
