Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary and St. Boniface
May 10, 2022
Oftentimes the phrase comes to mind: "Let's let our actions speak for themselves." In a world when we are often encouraged to "do whatever it takes" to distinguish ourselves and get ahead - how special it is to have a reminder of what truly matters. This Sunday's Gospel accentuates that love should be the mark of a true Christian - and the loving manner with which we treat one another. The Acts of the Apostles continues to describe the early Christian community, and how the earliest followers of Christ interacted. There, immediately post-resurrection, they are described as being "of one mind, and one heart," and "everything being held in common." How wonderful it is even today when we witness someone being generous towards others - and we can look at those actions and say: "Now, it is clear that they are followers of Jesus Christ!"
Welcome Henry Charles who was baptized at Assumption.
Congratulations to the family!
