Self-described as compassionate, empathetic, and a good listener, Dr. Tien's journey in the field of medicine was sparked by a transformative childhood experience when she witnessed a physician save her father’s life. Dr. Tien is board-certified in Family Medicine - an area of medicine that focuses on comprehensive health care, including acute, chronic, and preventive care. Her expertise and connection to Jefferson Abington Hospital make her the ideal physician to continue your care transition. Of her experience at Garden Spring Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Dr. Tien says “In my years as a physician, I couldn’t be more impressed at the team’s interdisciplinary collaboration, unwavering dedication, mutual respect, proactive diligence, and open communication.”

To her, #LiveWell means “Be a positive presence and impact patients and staff. Motivate others to pursue mental and physical well-being and mindfulness.”

As October unfolds, we come together to shine a light on a cause that affects many of our residents, visitors, families, and colleagues: Breast Cancer Awareness Month. It's a time to remember, honor, support, and empower those who have faced or are facing, this challenging journey. We encourage you all to take part, whether it's by educating yourselves, supporting a local charity, or simply reminding your loved ones to schedule regular check-ups. Join us in wearing pink, in raising awareness, and in standing together as a compassionate and supportive community. Together, we can make a difference and contribute to a future without breast cancer.

Balancing Work and Life: Taking care of the Self promotes life satisfaction and workplace happiness. I make sure to stay attuned to my needs in physical health, mental health, and spiritual wellbeing.

Community Involvement: I'm an active volunteer in my community, including PTO, Adolescent Sports, and wherever needed. For instance, I recently volunteered for 4 hours at the McKean County Fair with The Football Sports Boosters Fundraiser.
