A Message from our Co-Presidents and Founder

We are so grateful for each and every one of you who make our mission possible. Whether you volunteer, foster, adopt, donate, or simply help spread the word, you are changing lives—one Golden at a time. Thanks to you, so many dogs have found the love and care they deserve, and we couldn’t do it without this incredible community.

Right now, we need your help more than ever. More Goldens are coming into rescue every day, and we urgently need foster homes and donations to continue providing them with the care they need. Fostering is one of the most rewarding ways to make a difference—it’s a temporary commitment that gives a dog a second chance at life. And every donation, big or small, helps us cover medical expenses, food, and transportation for these deserving pups.

If you’ve ever thought about fostering, now is the perfect time to open your home to a Golden in need. And if you’re able to donate, your generosity will ensure that we never have to turn away a dog in need of rescue.

Thank you for being part of this journey with us. We know that, together, we can continue to save and change lives.

With heartfelt thanks,

Lauren & Patti

Orphans of the Month:

Stone and Cash

We are brother and sister and we have never been separated. We came from the same litter 2.5 years ago. We are not too big. I (Cash) am around 39 of those pound things and my sister is 30 of them. Our family was having to leave us alone in crates for many hours a day so we had less and less exercise, playtime or out of doors time. It was not a happy life for us. We have good house manners, like all sizes of people and get along with other dogs. So far, we haven’t met any cats. It is hard for us to leave our home but it helps if we are together. We are looking for a new family that is home more and can give us more attention. We are good, healthy doodles and look forward to meeting you.

Blue Pearl Pet Loss Support Group

Our beloved pets are dear to us filling our hearts with unconditional love, companionship, and joy.

When we lose them, it is very difficult. We feel a void, sadness, and grief. But we are not alone.

Blue Pearl Georgia veterinarian specialists understand and began offering a pet loss support group 10 years ago where we can gather with others and support one another.

The group meets virtually on Zoom most Wednesdays from 7:00 pm to 8:00 PM. There is no charge for participation. Reservations can be made by contacting Robin at 404-308-8731 or emailing rchisolmseymour@yahoo.com. She is happy to help.

Check Your Dog

Once a Month on the 14th!

Facts about Cancer

in Dogs

Did you know that 1 in 3 dogs will be diagnosed with cancer? 50% of those dogs will die from cancer. In humans, there are 1.5 million new cases of cancer each year, but in dogs, there are 6 million new cases of cancer diagnosed each year. Dog cancer prevention is key to a long healthy life with your dog.

Checking your dog once a month for lumps and bumps or any abnormal behavior is key in the prevention of any health issue with your dog.

We recommend doing it on the 14th of every month. Monthly checks mean extra pets and love for your dogs while bringing peace of mind to you! If you are starting with a young dog, this time will also prepare them for their future vet wellness visits.

Now how exactly do you do this?

Start at their nose and work all the way to their tail. Make sure you are in a familiar, low-key environment where you and your pet can do this without distraction. In other words, not during dinner time or when you expect the mailman to be buzzing by the house.

Also, make sure you keep a journal of each of your

Check Your Dog days so you will have notes to

compare with should something arise.
