December Revenue Collections Fall Short

On Monday January 6, 2025, The Mississippi Legislative Budget Office (LBO) released their monthly report disclosing the state’s revenue collection data. The report disclosed that December revenue collections were -$106 million or -15.9% below the legislature’s revenue estimates. The decline in corporate taxes was identified as a main contributor to the shortfall.
