WHAT: On Wednesday, October 4, 2017, local government and WMATA officials -- along with developer Urban Atlantic and anchor tenant Kaiser Permanente -- will break ground on a major construction project that will bring more than 850 jobs to Prince George's County. This 200,000-square-foot capital project at the New Carrollton Metro Station, as well as a 830 space structured parking garage, marks Prince George's County's continued ascendance as an innovation hub and economic center. Kaiser Permanente of the Mid-Atlantic States will join educational technology company 2U and the Maryland Department of Housing and Urban Development at the New Carrollton Metro Station.
Kaiser Permanente of the Mid-Atlantic States will be the anchor tenant in the facility, which will accommodate the organization's robust growth in the region and the continuing demand for its top-rated, integrated care model, which combines health care and health coverage in one convenient package.
