Dear Friends,
The 2024 MY HERO International Film Festival Awards Celebration took place this month at the Herb Alpert Educational Village in Santa Monica. We are grateful to our Special Awards Presenters - Esther Wojcicki, Kathy Eldon, Daniel Eldon Turteltaub, and Ron Kovic, who were on hand at the Moss Theater to recognize the achievements of student and professional filmmakers.
The Award Celebration program was hosted by Gabrielle Gorman and honorees included: Tiffany Shlain, Goldie Hawn, Gabriel Diamond, Tige Charity, Judge Songhai Armstead, Dr. Gustavo Ortiz, Frank Guttler and more. A special tribute was presented to Film Festival Director, Wendy Milette for her leadership growing the festival over the last 20 years.
Special thanks to Molly McCabe and The Scripps Family Impact Fund, The Seedlings Foundation, Renée Edelman, The Max Factor Family Foundation and MY HERO's Co-founders: Rita Stern Milch, Karen Pritzker and Jeanne Meyers whose support made this event possible.
The MY HERO International Film Festival continues on December 11th at the Rivian South Coast Theater in Laguna Beach, CA. Reservations are required.
