Register Now for Sunday's Conversation
Slots are going fast for the Corvallis Repertory Singers’ “Maestro Moments” online conversation on Sunday, October 11. That’s why you should take time now to register for the 3 p.m. Zoom session featuring Dr. Steven Zielke, the artistic director of the Repertory Singers, and Roosevelt Andre Credit, the Broadway singer, actor and composer.

Sunday’s Maestro Moments session is FREE, but participation is limited, and registration is required. Follow this link to register: https://bit.ly/3jdKRIO or click the link in red below.

The Repertory Singers normally schedule live performances on Sunday afternoons, but the pandemic has put those on hold. So the ensemble is offering these conversations once a month – at 3 p.m. on the second Sunday – through February. (For more information, go to the Repertory Singers’ website, https://repsing.org/concerts/  An earlier email about “Maestro Moments” included an incorrect date for the November conversation; that conversation, featuring Salem composer and Corvallis native David Metzger, will be 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8.)

Credit, who’s familiar to mid-valley audiences, is an apt choice for the first “Maestro Moment”; since graduating from Oregon State University in 1990, he’s built a career as a singer, actor, composer, conductor and music educator. He’s performed in Broadway musicals such as “Show Boat” and “Porgy and Bess.”

Said Zielke: “Roosevelt Credit is an ideal first guest on our series as he is such an important part of the cultural history of Corvallis and OSU and has led such a fascinating career in his life and work on Broadway.”

Sunday’s session will include time for questions from the audience. To whet your appetite for that, check out this recent interview with Credit, conducted by aspiring singer Kami Corwin (daughter of our own Judy Corwin): https://repsing.org/concerts/

We’re looking forward to seeing you on Sunday, so be sure to register now.
