CLOTHES CLOSET MINISTRY
Thanks so much for those who have assisted our unique surrounding community to stay warm this winter. As we move into warmer days, we would love to have you join our ministry. This is a good time to get familiar with the resources we offer and the layout of the clothes closet. We also invite you to come help the team switch out the winter clothes to warmer weather clothing. We will be working on Tuesdays at 4:00 pm. For more information contact Min. Julie Gordon

THANK YOU

Central family, thank you for your support and prayers for Jordan "Alex" in his appearance in the Perfect Game All-American game on Sunday, August 11th.
In the PG Classic Game, Jordan was one of the only two players on the East to stay in the line-up for entire game.
"PRAY TELL..."

Micheal Browning Honored by UWG Alumni

Central’s own Michael Browning is excited to be one of the 2019 recipients of the University of West Georgia Thriving under 30 Award.
Thriving Under 30 is an annual recognition program sponsored by the UWG Alumni Association. The program recognizes young alumni under the age of 30 who have made a significant impact in their career while exhibiting dedication to UWG and representing the university well.  Michael has worked diligently as a teacher, instructional leader and now serves as Assistant Principal at Temple High School in the Carroll County School System.

While in education, Michael has served in many capacities, but prides himself mostly on being an example and mentor for the young men with whom he comes in contact. He was honored as Teacher of the Year in 2017 and is excited about what is to come as Assistant Principal.

Michael’s education at University of West Georgia certainly paved the way to his steady climb as an educator and administrator, all by the tender age of 28!   He is highly admired and respected by his colleagues, community, parents, students and his family! He lives by his favorite scripture, Matthew 5:16,  Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven .

A lifelong member of Central UMC, Michael works in various areas of ministry, primarily serving as Associate Lay Leader and LIFE Group Co-chair . He attributes much of his success to the experiences he's had in service to God through Central.   His parents, Michael Sr. and Margo Browning and sister, Monica, are also very involved in the life of Central.
