Volunteer Beach Ambassador (VBA)

New Training Class Added!

Greetings VBA!

In addition to our first event on Saturday, March 7th to join FOSWST as a Volunteer Beach Ambassador (VBA), we are excited to be offering another date - Tuesday March 24th!

Volunteer Beach Ambassadors, when wearing their T-shirt, interact with the public in a positive and friendly way whether on the beach, stationed at beach accesses, or even out around town. We look forward to meeting you and having you join the FOSWST family!

VBA Training Class

This meeting will include a presentation & guest speakers, along with receiving your FOSWST t-shirt, name tag, and FOSWST volunteer info packet. You will also receive promotional items from the South Walton Visitor's center to utilize when interacting with visitors on the beach.

What to Expect

Arrival & Receive Welcome Packet: 9:00 am-9:10 am
VBA Welcome & Guest Speakers: 9:15 am - 10:20am
Closing + Q&A | Membership Payment | Shirt & Badge Pickup: 10:20 - 11:00 am

Out of respect to our guest speakers all membership payments and shirt & badge pickup is reserved for the end of our meeting. Please plan accordingly!

Registration STEPS

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO REGISTRATION:

$5.00 membership fee (Cash or Check made out to FOSWST),

Step #1 - Complete "Become a VBA" Form

*Prior to registering for training, Make sure you've completed our
"Become a VBA" form below for each VBA joining.
Note: A separate email address is required for each VBA.

Step #2 - Register for Training

After completing our "Become a VBA Form" You will then click below to register each new VBA for the training class. Note: Each new VBA needs to have a separate email address, and should match the same one used above on our Become a VBA form.

We're excited to see our VBA's hitting the beaches for the 2026 season! With beach walking, educational & community events on the calendar it's so important to our organization for all volunteers to please keep track of all of your VBA hours!
