Join us for an engaging session with Dr. Joseph Vassalotti! Dr. Vassalotti is a nationally recognized leader in chronic kidney disease (CKD) prevention and management, with expertise in primary care, population health, lifestyle interventions, interdisciplinary care, and the use of kidney- and cardioprotective medications.

Dr. Joseph Vassalotti, Chief Medical Officer of the National Kidney Foundation and Clinical Professor of Medicine in the Division of Nephrology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.

This session will explore how to:

Identify who to test and which tests to order for CKD risk stratification.
Interpret and apply measures of kidney function and damage, including eGFR and albuminuria.
Integrate lifestyle modifications, nutrition, pharmacologic therapies, and interdisciplinary care into CKD management.
Understand the relationship between CKD and cardiovascular disease through the lens of the Cardiovascular-Kidney-Metabolic (CKM) Syndrome.

Through case presentations and evidence-based strategies, Dr. Vassalotti will provide practical insights into diagnosing, risk stratifying, and intervening earlier in CKD to improve kidney and cardiovascular outcomes.
