Wellness Grants Bestowed to UCSF Health and Wellbeing Projects
The UCSF 2024 Community Well-being Grant program, now in its third year, will fund 16 projects to support the health and wellbeing of faculty, staff, and learners. A total of nearly $100,000 in funds will support the grant winners.

IDEAL Academy Welcomes Second Cohort in Spring 2024
The Office of Diversity and Outreach launched the Institute for Diversity, Equity, and Anti-Racism Leadership in 2023 to support UCSF diversity leaders by elevating their work, supporting professional development in diversity, equity, inclusion, and anti-racism, and furthering education and scholarship. The second cohort began on January 19 and will graduate in May of this year.

MERC Emerging Health Equity Scholar Award

The UCSF Multiethnic Health Equity Research Center (MERC) in the Division of General Internal Medicine (DGIM) is excited to announce the third annual MERC Emerging Health Equity Scholar Award. The award will recognize UCSF early investigators who are conducting health services, community-engaged, clinical, or translational research focused on health equity.

Center for Aging in Diverse Communities (CADC) Scientist Program
Applications due March 1, 2024
The CADC requests applications for scientists who will conduct one-year pilot studies to investigate research questions among older Black/African American, Latino/a/x, Asian American, Pacific Islander, Native American/American Indian populations, sexual and gender minorities of any race/ethnicity, or the intersection of disability and those populations.

Bayard Rustin: A Legacy of Protest and Politics

The life of civil rights activist and 1963 March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom organizer Bayard Rustin is explored in this new book. With a foreward by professor emeritus and founder of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Research and Education Institute Clayborne Carson, the book gathers together essays from a range of scholars, educators, and writers to weave together a portrait of a compassionate change-maker.
