Special Message May 2025

Dear Jennifer,

Like many in our community, we've been heartbroken to see the damage caused by the recent tornadoes and severe storms. Whether you were directly impacted or are supporting friends and neighbors who were, please know our thoughts are with you.

As always, our community shows its strength by coming together — and today, we invite you to be a helper.

United Way of South Central Indiana, in partnership with Monroe County Community Organizations Active in Disaster (COAD) and Greene County officials, has launched a Relief Fund to support short- and long-term recovery efforts for low- to moderate-income residents impacted in Monroe and Greene counties. Your donation can make an immediate difference—please give today.

Donated relief funds will assist those in the hardest-hit areas with needs that are unmet by traditional assistance programs. Your support will provide disaster relief in the days ahead and also help in the coming months as communities and families rebuild. Every dollar will go toward disaster recovery.

Please consider joining us by donating at unitedwaysci.org/DisasterRelief. It is in these moments of hardship that the caring power of our communities shines the brightest.

And if you or someone you know has been affected, contact Indiana 2-1-1 (dial 2-1-1 from your phone or visit https://in211.org) to find local resources. You can also find local response information at the links below.

Thank you for being a helper – thank you for supporting your neighbors.

With gratitude,

Your United Way of South Central Indiana team
