ROCHESTER, NY June 4, 2018 The Wilder Room , the home of former Rochester Mayor, Abel Carter Wilder, will officially reopen June 6 with a media preview event from 10 a.m. to noon to showcase its new look and significant renovations.

New renovations to the spacious 2,660 square foot ballroom reveal original historic components of the building including a rare barrel vaulted ceiling, four original crystal chandeliers and windows overlooking Barrett Alley.

Located in the heart of Rochester's East End Cultural and Entertainment district at 120 East Avenue, the venue has been newly remodeled to accommodate weddings, special occasions, meetings, conferences, community events and more.

The space is being operated by Rochester-based, Bella Events Group, a full-service event planning and design company.

"We are thrilled to share this piece of history with the community," said Jenna Knauf, owner of Bella Events Group.

"It's been a wild ride to watch the transformation from what it once was to where we are now. We'll open for business this June when we make our debut as a Club Pass venue for the Xerox Rochester International Jazz Festival. It will be available to book events starting in July," added Knauf.

The media is invited for photo / video and interview opportunities. Call or text Amanda Antinore at (585) 729-7533 if you plan to be there.
