ANNOUNCEMENT

We are pleased to announce that effective January 1, 2024, our colleague Peter C. Schechter will assume the title of Senior Partner as he transitions to semi-retirement. In Peter’s new role, he plans to devote more time to his family and hobbies.

On this upcoming transition, Peter said, “As I complete the fortieth year of my IP career and my tenth year here at OBWB, I often think about how much has changed and how much has remained the same in the fantastic field of law since I first joined an IP boutique in New York City in 1984."

Mr. Schechter will continue to serve OBWB’s clients in litigation, transactional, and USPTO matters, as well as mentor junior lawyers, patent agents and engineers. Drawing on his extensive career experience, Peter will also remain the editor of Insights, OBWB’s monthly newsletter.

Mr. Schechter remains available through his usual OBWB contact channels “for a long time, we hope,” said Managing Partner Jeffrey S. Bergman.

Please join us in congratulating Peter on achieving this life milestone!
