"我唯一害怕的,是你们已经不相信了"
Currently making the rounds on WeChat is this 7-minute  video  from the TV show  见字如面 3 ,   which captures a dramatic reading of a 2012 speech by Lu Xinning (卢新宁), Deputy Editor-in-chief of  People's Daily  and recently appointed Deputy Director of Beijing's Liaison Office in Hong Kong. Lu Xinning is reported to be one of the key writers behind the  People's Daily  pseudonym 任仲平.

Lu Xinning originally delivered the speech 《在这个怀疑的时代,我们仍需要信仰》 at the 2012 graduation ceremony of the Peking University Chinese Department.

While this video isn't new, it has been re-circulating in recent days and is worth watching to try to understand why. While the original intent was in line with the current 别忘初心 slogan, it can also resonate in other ways.

To follow along as you watch, here is the  full text   of the speech, and a   多维新闻 article   summarizing the content.
