Winn-Dixie is committed to our Hispanic community and values the diversity and cultural experiences they bring to our workplace. We pride ourselves in hiring a diverse workforce including employees such as Vanessa Garcia, originally an employee of Winn-Dixie; now the Store Manager at WD’s.
| |
|
Winn-Dixie’s is a first of its kind, stand-alone liquor store! WD’s carries over 3100 wine and liquor brands and a diverse selection of over 500 beer varieties. WD’s has a massive Beer Cave and more 500 beer varieties, including 73 Florida beers and 22 First Coast area beers plus more than 1,400 spirit selections including Bourbon, Scotch, Tequila, Rum, Vodka, Cognac and popular, rare finds. WD’s also offers a variety of local distiller brands including Citrus Distillers, Burlock and Barrel, City Gate Spirits, Two Titmice Vodka, Noble Coyote Mezcal, Grey Matter Distilling and Marlin & Barrel Distillery. WD’s will be celebrating its 3rd year of serving the San Marco community in Jacksonville this September!
Winn-Dixie prides itself in hiring knowledgeable associates within each area of our stores and encourages associates to bring their whole selves to work to represent their cultural backgrounds. Vanessa has served our Winn-Dixie communities for over 22 years in various areas of the store including customer service, pricing, receiving and so much more. Vanessa is of Puerto Rican descent, with both Maternal and Paternal grandparents hailing from Caguas, Yabucoa, Fajardo, and Santurce. Both sets of grandparents moved to New York City where her parents met, and Vanessa’s story began.
At Winn-Dixie and Southeastern Grocers, we celebrate and champion our diverse associates, customers and communities.
