I hope this email finds you safe and healthy. As we enter the month of April I would like to provide you with a few updates regarding our programming, as well as highlight some ways to stay involved with the NTPGA Junior Tour this month.
As the
coronavirus (COVID-19) situation evolves, we have continued to monitor developments and follow guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO), local and national health organizations, as well as our local and federal government officials. That being said, there have been several changes made to our programming in the coming weeks. I would like to provide you with the following updates as of April 1, 2020:
- NTPGA Junior Tour Spring Series
- After thoughtful consideration, the Section will be extending the postponement and/or cancelation of Junior Tour and Foundation events through April 30, 2020. All those currently slated to play in an event will receive a full refund.
- Drive, Chip & Putt Season and Finals
- On March 27, it was announced that the 2020-21 Drive, Chip & Putt qualifying season will be canceled and this year’s Drive, Chip & Putt National Finals will be rescheduled for April 4, 2021. For more information, read the full statement HERE. Should you have any questions regarding this cancelation, visit Drive, Chip & Putt's frequently asked questions HERE.
- Section Office Operations
- At this time the Section staff will continue to work remotely. Please note that our Section staff will be off on April 10 in observance of the holiday. Otherwise, all operations and services will continue as normal, and we will maintain consistent exceptional levels of service. Click HERE for a list of our staff's contact information including email addresses and direct phone numbers.
On behalf of the entire team at the Northern Texas PGA, I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and disappointment these changes may have caused you and your family. We completely understand how difficult this time is, and we are eager to return to the course when it is advisable.
However, I would like to encourage you to continue to be engaged with your NTPGA staff, your local PGA professional and your fellow Junior Tour members throughout these uncertain times. Our staff has been working on new strategies to connect with our membership through the game of golf in a safe way. Listed below are some of the ways you can connect with our staff and other junior golfers. I highly encourage you to take part in them until we can resume our normal operations.
Stay healthy and safe,
