11:00am - Fire Alarm Inspections - 25 Steps to Failure - This session examines the requirements for Fire Alarm Inspections and per-testing as described in NFPA 72 Fire Alarm and Signaling Code - 1999/2022 Editions and incorporates requirements of the New York State, International Building and Fire Codes. It highlights how and why inspections fail with code references identified.

1:00pm - Access Control / Security System Design Considerations - How can you have a positive effect on reducing the carnage that we regularly see in educational, health care, industrial, lodging, parking, office facilities, single and multi-dwelling units, retail establishments, restaurants and shopping centers due to active shooter scenarios? Start at the perimeter. This presentation will give an overview on means of protecting the building from the perimeter to the inner operational areas and rooms, with the basis for the presentation being NFPA’s 730, Concentric Circles of Protection.

3:00pm - Camera Technology “Comparing 2.1 vs 5 mp”- Dealers frequently request to see the difference between 2.1 – 5 mp cameras, should I be using 4k monitors or not and what is the best camera to use and when. In this presentation we will do a side by side comparison between different mega pixel cameras, and a comparison of HD over coax systems vs IP systems for better understanding of the technologies and when and where to utilize different technologies.
