We have learned a lot about ourselves, our resilience, and our ability to adapt during the COVID pandemic. What we have learned will shape our future, and pave the road forward.

These lessons have often been discussed during our weekly Virtual Coffee Breaks.
In many ways we have seen members go through the five stages of grief - denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance - as they have processed the before, during and after COVID scenarios. In our early sessions, many members felt hopeless, like they were sinking. BACC acted as the lifeboat, bringing our members and the business community over the waves to the shore. As we connected and worked together, we found comfort in working with others, comfort in staying informed and educated, and clarity in the fact that we must be open to change.

The road ahead will be different. For instance, many of us will work from home; many of us have developed new products and services that fit the COVID times; many of us learned new technical skills; and many of us realized we can survive on our own, but we are not alone. BACC is here to serve you.

During this month of June, BACC is encouraging our members to bring another passenger on this journey. Recruit a new member who can benefit from a community dedicated to each other's survival. Ask a colleague, friend, neighbor to join the Chamber. Our strength is in our connection. -- Suzanne Corr
