at THE SETH HOUSE

Hello Everybody!

It has been 7 months since we’ve sent a newsletter to our friends out there in the real world. We have good news and a lot of catching up to do.

As most of you know, the Seth House is the apartment building in Elmira, New York, where Jane Roberts channeled Seth and where most of the Seth books were written. It’s amazing to think of all the history that happened right here. Our 501c3 non-profit now owns the actual building known fondly as THE SETH HOUSE. 

We have been working diligently to clean up the place after years of deterioration and neglect. It's an ongoing process and we have much more restoration work ahead of us. We look forward to the time when we can open our doors to public gatherings, community events, and quiet contemplation.

The Seth House is dedicated to the appreciation, study and research of Seth’s information; to a sense of personal development and well-being; and to joyfully bringing people together for meaningful conversations and explorations into the greater reality.

We have so much appreciation and love for the service

they have given to the development of this project in these early years. 

After the purchase of the building, Dec 27 2021, there was a feeling of 'something new' emerging for each of us in different ways. The purchase of the building was a big event, but bigger than we could have imagined, not just for the House, but in our own lives. 

By February 2022, Kate and Molly felt a sense of completion in their time here, and a desire to move forward and enter into the next chapter of their individual lives. It was almost like we crossed the finish line together, this 5 year goal had been achieved at long last, and with that, a new beginning for their lives was calling to them. We honored each others callings. They resigned by March, yet continued to serve during the transitional period of this 501c3. 

Having the highest intentions for the well-being of this organization, we made important decisions regarding its future. The process of selecting the new board began. Hiring a local accounting firm to take care of the bookkeeping. Getting all legal matters taken care of. Following through on responsibilities that come with owning and maintaining a structure such as this. Lots of hard work has been happening here, all on a volunteer basis. So much has gone on during this time, and there's so much more underway.

Becoming Strong

There have been many challenges to overcome, and so much work to do, as you can well imagine. This has been a huge undertaking, and yes, sometimes overwhelming. But in the collective human experience, such times as these are opportunities for growth, gaining emotional maturity, perspective, wisdom and insight.

In the midst of change, new opportunities, previously unimaginable, arise. In this collective reality, we are becoming better people through the varied experiences we encounter, and this is part of what "life on earth" is all about. We are all so blessed.

The Seth House, this place, this organization, has grown stronger. It has become more established in its identity and is ready to meet the world in greater terms with new confidence and resolve. In life ever-changing, there can be a ‘Chrysalis’ stage of deep inner development, quietly emerging from what was, into a new essence. Hence the title: New Beginnings. Seth’s message gives us all we need to see it through to a new personal and planetary awakening... a new birth into the greater manifestation of our beings.

"ONE SENTENCE" 

I want to float this idea by you... I had a wonderful conversation about "How do we share Seth with the world?" ... Here's the idea... Creating a feature length video of Seth readers sharing just a 2 - 5 minute personal story... Kind of your personal Seth Testimonial. Talk about ONE SENTENCE you read from Seth that changed your life. Pick any sentence and talk about it and the affect it had on you. We can be flexible with the premise as it develops. If we get 50 people to speak for a couple minutes, this could be a powerful presentation to let new people know about Seth and to re-inspire the rest of us too.

The Future

When we are ready to open our doors to the public, you will be amazed and proud of the part you played in making it happen. There will always be the next step of the journey. We look forward to the time, in the not so distant future, when ongoing groups and gatherings here will fill up the calendar, and when our online offerings to a global community are accessible to everyone who will benefit from the uplifting words and healing influence. Let's trust in the natural way our lives slip into New Beginnings.
