Dual-Color CsPbBr3 Nanocrystals Prepared by Water
This technology developed by University of Kentucky researchers is a green route for preparing the all-inorganic CsPbBr3 PeNCs on a massive scale by replacing the toxic organic solvents with deionized (DI) water. Further, this method provides alternative luminescent CsPbBr3 PeNCs employing non-polluting ultrasonication procedures carried out at room temperative in contrast to the high temperatures required to prepare cadmium-based chalcogenides and common methods-based lead halide PeNCs. The samples prepared by ultrasonication also show more excellent optical stability. This work provides a novel route to realize the sustainability and salability of perovskite nanocrystals. Fuqian Yang (College of Engineering) and Xiaobing Tang (College of Engineering) collaborated on the development of this invention.
