A quick "News Burst" about PAI Happenings!
"News Burst" Format
Due to popular demand, PAI Voice has changed its format. Shorter articles and more frequent distribution -- you asked and we heard you. At least every other month, PAI will distribute a News Burst that focuses on one of its program sites. Enjoy the latest news from PAI-Linden!
A royal visit
Miss Hmong Minnesota Court (2018)

The Miss Hmong Court of Minnesota visited Linden in March. They graced us with traditional clothing, customary dances, and a memorable experience. The dancers (in order: Miasee Yang, Khou Yang, Chianey Vue) performed three routines for the folks at Linden and shared the story and purpose behind each dance. This was a completely new experience for us, and we were thrilled to have them share their culture with us.

Shannon, Rick (owl), Ted, and Kayla

Rick Swoops in on Linden

In April, we were fortunate enough to have Kayla from the University of Minnesota Raptor Center visit Linden with several of her charges. As seen in the photo, Shannon sure thought that Rick, the Great Horned Owl, was an awesome sight. We also were lucky enough to view a Bald Eagle (Gladdie), a Red Tail Hawk (Luta), and an American Kestrel (Sienna).

Kayla gave us an up-close introduction to her feathered friends and shared her extensive knowledge about these amazing birds of prey. It was a great way to kick off spring!

Porter and Patty
Porter Gets a Job

Porter (Golden Retriever) got his first job as a therapy dog in January of 2017. Since his certification, he has visited Linden three days per week to spend time with some of his best friends at PAI. At the moment, this is Porter's only job, but he does work a full schedule. If you come by Linden on Monday, Wednesday, or Friday there is a good chance you will meet this unofficial mascot of Linden. Some of Porter's hobbies include: tennis balls, listening to Patty sing him Elvis songs, snacks, and sitting on people's feet.
