Congregational Meeting-December 13 at 12:00
The Session has called a Congregational Meeting for Sunday, December 13 at 12:00pm. This meeting will be held in the sanctuary of Parkway Presbyterian Church and will be available by ZOOM, using this link. Call in via telephone audio only dial +1 346 248 7799 US (Houston) -- Meeting ID: 833 4676 7732

The Purpose of this meeting is to dissolve the pastoral relationship between Rev. Laura Neely Villarreal and Parkway Presbyterian Church. The rationale for the separation is that Parkway's financial situation can no longer sustain Laura's position.

Longest Night Service
Recognizing that the Christmas season can be a difficult time for those who have experienced grief and the loss of loved ones, a special service, "Longest Night," will be held on Sunday, December 13 at 6:00 on the church's Facebook page. The service will provide participants time to recognize their grief and remember the losses of life.
Everyone is invited to attend this service of scripture, prayer, hymns, and readings. This service will be available online only.

Christmas Joy Offering
What is this? A special offering collected during Advent to support leaders---past, present & future. How does it support? It provides assistance to retired church workers and current workers who need additional financial support. It helps with developing future leaders at Presbyterian related racial ethnic schools and colleges. Pan American School in our area is one of these schools. Please give generously. You may also Text JOY to 56512 to give; or by clicking here to visit the website. Watch this video for information.

Mission Market Moves Online!
It's time once again for Parkway's alternative gift giving opportunity. Just think: no long lines at the mall and no shipping charges for on-line orders. What a wonderful opportunity in the true spirit of the season: a gift for a friend or family member that also benefits others for the coming year and beyond.
There are three recipients this year. Coastal Bend Food Bank, Presbyterian Pan American School and Heifer International. The Mission Market is available through December 22nd.
This year the market is moving entirely online, so you don't even have to leave your house to pick out your gifts. Please go to the online form and do your shopping.
So, buy a gift for friends or family and let your gift continue throughout the year.

Stewardship Pledge Campaign 2021
2020 will go down in history as a year of...something. We didn't always know what we were to do, or the best way to do it, but we still accomplished ministry in Jesus' name. - Worship services were held weekly. The platform changed from a recording on ZOOM, to recorded clips edited into a whole, to livestreaming. The format changed, but each week we had an opportunity for worship. Amazingly, the participation in worship online significantly multiplied our reach.
- Hands-on mission was curtailed at Loaves and Fishes and in Guatemala, but our support for mission continued through your generous donations.
- Every crisis is also an opportunity and we continue to explore new ways we can be the church, offering hope to a world in need.
Many of you have turned in a pledge for the church's work in 2021. Thank you. We have received about half of the pledges we anticipate. To date, members have pledged $383,070 . Including commitments from those who did not pledge last year, there is an increase of over $15,580 from the same pledges in 2020. We need to hear from everyone! If you have not made a financial commitment to the church for 2021, you may pledge on the church website under the "Give" tab, or pledge through the Realm app on your phone, or call the church office and let Cheryl or Sue record your pledge.
