Worship: Sundays at 11:00 AM
PW Fall Gathering via ZOOM
This year our PW Fall Gathering will NOT be face to face.  About this time last year we had such a good time when we met at Jackson Woods Presbyterian Church and we will surely miss the fellowship and good food.... However we are still meeting....
Due to COVID-19, the Presbyterian Women of Mission Presbytery Coordinating Team has decided to cancel all in person Fall Gatherings and instead we are hosting a ZOOM Fall Gathering for ALL clusters.
Please join us for our Virtual 2020 Fall Gathering, "Come Live in the Light!" on Saturday, September 12, 2020 from 9:30 - 11:30 AM on ZOOM.
Speakers will include:
Rev. Dr. Sallie Watson, Mission Presbytery
Nancy Robohn, First Presbyterian Church Georgetown
Katy Beford, M.Div., Central Presbyterian Church Austin
To register and receive the Zoom link, email your name, church and cluster to
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me, either by email or text/call me at 361-877-3061.
Please share the information for the Fall Gathering and how to register with the other women in your church.
Looking forward to seeing you in September at our ZOOM PW Fall Gathering, but remember you have to register to receive the ZOOM invite.

Mo Ranch Wrap-Up

Face masks and social distancing did not affect the spirit of this year's Mo Ranch Retreat. A slightly smaller group of 35 made the hill country their home this past Labor Day weekend. Instead of a morning hymn sing, people were encouraged to walk the labyrinth. Communion was served in pre-sealed individual serving packets. But the love of Mo Ranch and for one another was evident-as always.

Book Discussion Class
Here is a shameless plug. Since the Book Discussion Class will be meeting via Zoom there is a seat at the table for everyone who wants to join! We will go online every Wednesday at 5:30 for an hour starting September 16th. We discuss the book we are reading and how to make the life-application. Our first book is "Hallelujah Anyway" by Anne Lamott. Anne is a member of a Presbyterian Church in the San Francisco area and is bluntly honest as she stumbles her way along following Jesus.
If you would like to try us out, please contact me for the link to the Zoom meeting.

Handbells Returning!

The Session has approved rehearsals and Sunday anthems for the Parkway Ringers HANDBELL Choir.  Because of bell distributions we will need to know exact numbers for each anthem.  If you are interested in playing bells please contact
Joyce Wilcox  or 361-779-9665. Rehearsals begin Wednesday, September 16
at 7:00 PM in the sanctuary.

Parkway's General Endowment Fund
Parkway's General Endowment fund provides money for benevolences, education and care of our property that our regular budget does not cover. You can a make a donation to this fund at anytime. If you have any questions, call Norman Wilcox (361)853-1646.

Meet Your Parkway Friends at Happy Hour!!
The Events and Fellowship Committee wants to keep us all connected while we are separate. Introducing, "Parkway Happy Hour via Zoom!" Many (perhaps even most) of us have had an experience with Zoom in the last few months. Zoom is an online conferencing system that allows people in multiple locations to meet, see one another, and talk-whether that is about business or the kids. It allows a scattered family to celebrate a birthday virtually together. It will also allow the members and friends of Parkway to stay in touch.
Within the next few weeks, you will be invited to a "Zoom Happy Hour." On the appointed day and time, you can link in to the gathering from your home. You don't have to log in or download software, you do need to allow Zoom to access your computer camera. Don't have a camera on your computer? You can call in to a toll free number and still participate. Have a beverage of your choice on hand (it is Happy Hour, after all) and enjoy seeing and talking with your church friends.
