RRPS COVID-19 Testing Site Holiday Hours
The Rio Rancho Public Schools COVID-19 testing site for students and staff will be in operation during limited hours over the Thanksgiving break.

  • Monday, Nov. 22, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Nov. 23, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Wednesday, Nov. 24, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Thursday, Nov. 25, CLOSED
  • Friday, Nov. 26, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Please note that Rio Rancho Public Schools will not have a Nov. 26 edition of this e-newsletter. We will skip that week as it is Thanksgiving Break.
A Safe Holiday: CDC Recommendations
Holiday traditions are important for families and children. According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), there are ways to enjoy holiday traditions while still protecting your health. Here are some safety recommendations for Thanksgiving from the CDC:

  • Wear well-fitting masks over your nose and mouth
  • Wash your hands frequently
  • Practice social distancing
  • Host events outdoors when possible, as that is safer than indoors
  • Avoid crowded, poorly ventilated spaces
  • If you are sick or have symptoms, don’t host or attend a gathering
  • Get tested if you have symptoms of COVID-19 or have a close contact with someone who has COVID-19.

By working together and adhering to some simple safety measures, we can enjoy a safer holiday season.
Holiday Hours for Grab-N-Go Meals
Rio Rancho Public Schools will be adjusting the grab-n-go student meal distribution dates and times to allow our Food Services Department staff to enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday with their families. 

For the week of Nov. 22 ONLY, student grab-n-go meals will be distributed on the following schedule:

  • Monday, Nov. 22 only
  • Distribution 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
  • Distribution at Mountain View Middle School (East side of school, 4101 Montreal Loop NE) and Lincoln Middle School (Front parking lot, 2287 Lema Rd SE)

The Monday grab-n-go meal distribution will provide enough meals for the full week.
