Message from Your President

OTTA has seen some incredible growth and change this past year. We worked with Travel Oregon and Wieden and Kennedy, with input from the OTTA board, to create a new logo and brand identity that fits in the Travel Oregon family. We held TWO Night Out events in 2018 - one in January and one in December - both broke records for attendance and gross income. At the beginning of 2018, we held our first B2B with in-state tour operators and group leaders following feedback we received in our member survey. This past December, we had an amazing opportunity to partner with Travel Portland to host a B2B with receptive tour operators. In the fall, we had a great meeting in Astoria where members worked together to create a movie and pop culture itinerary (coming out soon!) and updated previous itineraries. The movie theme carried over to our Oregon birthday gifts (happy 160th birthday, Oregon!), recently sent to the top 50 tour operators doing business in Oregon. As we transition to a new executive team on the board, I would like to thank Dennis Corwin for his dedication and leadership as OTTA's president for the last two years. Dennis will remain on the board as Immediate Past President and Chair of the Governance Committee.

While we have accomplished so much, in many ways we are just getting started. This summer, the board will meet to discuss a new three-year strategic plan. Should you like to provide input for our strategic planning session, please reach out to me or another member of the board . OTTA has an exciting future ahead, but we can only continue growing with the help and participation of our members. If you haven't done so, please renew your membership today! Also, please share with others who may benefit from an OTTA membership . Thank you!

Cheers,
Mandy Morgan

Thank You for Making our Annual Night Out:
A Holiday Soiree a Big Success!

We would like to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who donated and attended OTTA's Annual Night Out: A Holiday Soirée aboard the Portland Spirit on December 11, 2018. The fundraiser was a huge success and we broke attendance records. The funds generated helped us subsidize the cost to partner with Travel Portland for the Receptive Operator Invitational, another successful event for our members. We greatly appreciate the chance to partner with Travel Portland and give our members who work with receptives an opportunity to network with them at the Winter Meeting and Night Out.

OTTA will once again be hosting a booth at the 2019 Oregon Governor's Conference on Tourism being held April 14-16 at the The Hotel Eugene in Eugene, Oregon. Each raffle basket has a value of approximately $2,000 and contains items such as souvenirs, gift certificates, wine, attractions passes and hotel stays.

We need your help to make each regional basket shine! To donate, please e-mail or mail THIS FORM to tthompson@monarchhotel.cc.

All donation forms should be completed and returned no later than April 5, 2019.
