"OUCH!! I THINK I HAVE A 'SLIPPED DISC' WHAT CAN I DO?"
What is a "slipped disc"
"The phrase 'slipped disc' has come into popular usage to refer to a bulging, ruptured, or herniated disc." A disc becomes herniated when the tough outer layer of the inter-vertebral disc cracks or tears and the soft gelatin-like inner layer pushes out. This can be very painful, especially once the herniated disc begins to press on the nerves around it. To learn more about herniated discs and how they are treated follow the link below.

While under the supervision of a D.C., exercises can be a great way to strengthen the spine and help alleviate pain from a herniated disc in your neck or low back.

NOTE: If any of these exercises cause more pain, please stop and consult your chiropractor.
MEDICAL CASE REPORT
A herniated disc doesn't have to mean surgery. Studies like the one linked below have shown that chiropractic care is an excellent non-invasive option for treating bulging/herniated discs.
