It's been a wonderful month for SHPE, having wrapped up another year of RLDCs
and
secured a Visionary Sponsor for our 2018 National Convention. Also, a big congratulations to all of our student members who are graduating this year! (Don't forget to take advantage of the 1-year free professional membership we offer to recent graduates.) Finally, we'll have new national and regional representatives by the end of this month. You should have received an invitation to the STEM Workplace Study from Dr. Erin Cech at the University of Michigan.
This study is a first-of-its-kind research project focused on the experiences of professionals in STEM and should take approximately 15 minutes to complete.
We encourage you to participate and make sure your voice is heard. The more we can support this kind of research, the closer we'll get to true representation and to achieving the SHPE mission.

On February 22, Region 7 kicked off this year’s round of RLDCs and on April 15, Region 1 finished the final RLDC of the season. Please see the highlights below from the final two RLDCs, Region 6 and Region 1.
We want to thank everyone who worked so hard to make these regional leadership development conferences so successful! Please make sure to pat yourselves on the back from us for a job well done. And, of course, thank you to everyone who attended.

|
One last request! Everyone who participated in the RLDCs now has a survey from us in their inbox. If you were at an RLDC, please take a few minutes to complete the survey and give us your feedback. You will be entered to win a drawing for a free 2018 National Convention registration.
