New COVID-19 Testing Site for Students & Staff
This week, Rio Rancho Public Schools formed a new partnership with Premier Medical Group USA (PMG USA) to provide a drive-through COVID-19 testing exclusively for RRPS students and staff.

The site, located in the parking lot of 333 NM-528 in Rio Rancho (the AMREP building/Fat Pipe Location parking lot), will only be accessible to students and staff for either symptomatic testing, close contact testing or surveillance testing. PMG USA will be using rapid antigen tests for surveillance testing and rapid PCR tests for symptomatic and close contact testing. All tests will use a nasal swab for collection.

Hours of operation for this drive-through testing site will be Mondays 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Wednesdays 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Fridays 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

This is a drive-through testing site. Please remain in your vehicle for testing.
*Please note that anyone who does not work for RRPS or attend an RRPS school, will not be able to utilize this new testing site.
October COVID-19 Case Count Update
Rio Rancho Public Schools continues to see positive cases of COVID-19 as our community and state work to reduce community spread of the virus.

Anytime we are notified of a case, the Rapid Response Team activates and begins contact tracing and working on all tasks required by NMPED. In addition, we also update our case counts on the website as an added layer of transparency.

As of midday on Thursday, Oct. 21, Rio Rancho Public Schools had 113 positive cases for the month of October, and 407 positive COVID-19 cases for the 2021-2022 school year.

We ask that RRPS staff and students continue to remain vigilant in their battle against COVID-19. Please remember to wear your mask while indoors, wash your hands frequently, avoid touching your face and practice social distancing whenever possible.
