 Policy Profile
After many years of planning and process building, people who receive Supported Living Services (SLS) are finally able to self-direct specific services. Consumer-Directed Attendant Support Services, commonly referred to as CDASS, took effect Aug. 15 and is considered an optional new service delivery method versus a new service. Individuals can now direct and manage the attendants who provide specific services, including personal care, homemaker, and health maintenance services, rather than working through an agency.
 How You Can Help
The holidays can be a challenge for many we help. Do you, your company, a club, or someone you know want to make an impact in the life of someone with I/DD through gift giving? Consider adopting an individual or family this year to make their holidays a little brighter.

Want to adopt an individual or family? Contact Erica by October 27 .
Spotlight On
-Volunteers and sponsors of THINK+change's 2018 TALKS series-
Real people, real inspiration. A good story offers awareness, education, and compassion. That's exactly what THINK+change’s multiple TALKS did in 2018. THINK+change TALKS  are provocative, in-person or video shorts on topics of interest to, or emerging issues for, people with I/DD and those who care for and work with them.
THINK+change was able to produce these powerful educational series because of generous support from volunteers and sponsors ... volunteers who were raw, unfiltered and vulnerable; sponsors who saw a need to push the boundaries of disability education. We thank you , our volunteers and sponsors, for your commitment to helping us spread powerful messages and making these series possible for people with I/DD, their families, the people in their lives, and the community at large.
