Greetings Dwell Friends & Family,
Wellness is born out of how we show up in the world every single day in every single action. A recent study of a large group of people over a long period of time and what creates long term health and wellness patterns and sustainable behaviors found that the more information people were given on what to do, why they should do it, how it affects them and how to actually make it happen, the likelier they were to repeat the actions and turn them into behaviors that last.
This means we need all the information!
What we know is relative to what we have been exposed to or educated on or experienced first hand. The more we know, the higher the likelihood is that we will return to these practices because we understand their impact and how they can affect us right now and also long term. What we are teaching ourselves and our children has the potential to save our lives. Our practices truly make an impact not just on us but on our entire communities.
Part of educating ourselves about the benefits of practices like yoga is to actually experience them! Committing to 2-3 practices a week allows you to embody those benefits and see and feel a difference. Think of it as Wellness in Action, which is our theme this month.
As always, we have weekly classes for
beginner, intermediate, advanced,
relaxation, focus and fitness.
And, unique offerings
this month to expand,
explore and play.
What wellness focus will you put into action this month?
