A Message from the County Executive
Dear Neighbor,
Summer is officially here! I hope everyone stayed safe and cool during the recent heat wave. I want to thank our Adult and Long-Term Care Services, Emergency Management and Health Department Teams for working hard to ensure our community 'beat the heat.'
This month was filled with exciting announcements such as our new Hotel Initiative, latest recipients of Agritourism Grants as well as this year's ONFarm Fest line up. We also announced the latest Main Street Program recipients.
Earlier this month, our County Team participated in the 2024 Syracuse Workforce Run in honor of our fallen heroes, Officer Michael E. Jensen and Lieutenant Michael Hoosock. I am so proud of our County Team for their resilience and ability to come together to honor these two brave men.
Although it may be summertime, my administration and County Team are working diligently to continue to make Onondaga County a place we are proud to call home and we look forward to sharing more announcements throughout the upcoming months.
Below you will find more updates on all the exciting events and announcements made over the last month. As always, it is an honor to serve as your County Executive and if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact my office.
Sincerely,
Ryan

That connection happens daily at farmers markets, local stores and farmstands, and in many cases – right at the farm in the form of agritourism.
