That's a Wrap!

National Everybody Eats Week 2024

Wow, such extravagant love was shown to One Bistro by our community during our National Everybody Eats Week campaign!

Together, our community patrons, Food Security Sponsors, and Friends of One Bistro helped us raise 6625 meals ($66,250) to continue our mission; to provide a place where our neighbors eat and come together as one community.

Our hearts are full of gratitude for our Community Heroes who engaged with and served our community in a special way last week by greeting and seating folks, waiting and bussing tables, and washing dishes. These Heroes participated in a friendly pay-it-forward competition raising a total of $16,362 over four days. Congratulations to the Xenia Police Division for winning the Dinner Bell by bringing in the most pay-it-forward at $5,954! The Greene County Sheriff's Office raised $4,841, the Greene County Commissioners & Ohio State Highway Patrol raised $2,660, the Xenia Professional Firefighters Local 698 raised $2,053 and ladies from Greene Memorial Hospital raised $855.

THANK YOU to all who participated in this week; for your passion to feed the hungry and for your overwhelming & generous support. Because of YOU, our neighbors eat!

We had a new sponsorship opportunity this year for members of our Board of Directors and our National Everybody Eats Week planning team. These "Seat at the Table" sponsors invited guests to fill up the community table and paid for their lunch, sharing the mission of One Bistro and giving their guests the opportunity to Pay it Forward!

"While hunting for a new brunch spot, I stumbled upon this gem and absolutely adore it! Their menu is simple but there's also a rotating special of the day featured on their blackboard. Customers are able to suggest new specials through their suggestion box; if selected, you get a complimentary meal and get to taste your creation!

Not only are the dishes served here delicious and affordable, but their commitment to serve the community is phenomenal.

By dining at One Bistro, each customer has the opportunity to pay it forward through donations to pay for another's meal or to leave a prayer. If you'd rather give back through community service, the entire service staff is ran by volunteers. They offer training at least once a month if you'd like to join the team.

One Bistro board members, Diane Dixon and Alex Briggs were honored to accept a grant from the Reynolds & Reynolds Associate Foundation to help support One Bistro's mission to provide a place where our neighbors eat and come together as one community.

One Bistro Board President, Denise Davis spoke at Church of the Messiah's missions' service, sharing opportunities for members to get involved as volunteers and sponsors at One Bistro.
