MEET MARY AND JANE

Two long-time friends who have made retirement into their mission field. They come to volunteer every other Friday and do fantastic work helping to serve, bus, clean and generally ensuring that each customer has a great experience with us. They are not here for any recognition but deserve to be praised for their heart to serve and generous spirits!

THE ARMOR OF GOD
Chef Greg and Shayne recently shared a prayer
they often declare and pray on their way to work each day!

The Armor of God
(Ephesians 6:11-17)

I put on the belt of truth… I will walk in integrity today. Falsehood and lies will be kept far from me. I will speak the truth today.

I put on the breastplate of Righteousness. My heart will be protected today. My emotions will be protected today. I will not be moved into action by my feelings but by Your will. I will not let my emotions rule. I will let the Mighty Hand of God alone rule my life and my actions.

I put on the shoes of Peace. I will walk in Your perfect peace today. I will not stir up strife against others and strife will not be stirred up against me.
I take up the shield of Faith. With it I will extinguish the fiery darts of my adversary. I will not be moved to act by my circumstances. I will trust in God and stand firm in Him.

I put on the helmet of Salvation. My mind will be protected. My thoughts will be protected today. I will tear down every thought and imagination that exalts itself against the knowledge of God.

I take up the sword of the Spirit. I will use it both offensively and defensively today. I will use it to be conviction, correction, and encouragement to my brother and I will use it to bring Truth to those who do not know You.

I stand fully dressed in my armor, ready to stand against my enemy. I am covered by The Blood and stand in the authority of the Name of Jesus Christ. I WILL NOT TAKE OFF MY ARMOR!

Meet Marcy, Barb, Karen, Margie and Von

If you have been in One Bistro lately you may have noticed some new faces behind the register. While these faces are not new to One Bistro (as they are often seen serving or busing tables) they are new to the register. This is the volunteer team who is being trained by Shayne to step in to the Front House Coordinator role when she steps out later this month for some surgery. We are so grateful and blessed to have these servant leaders and wanted to officially introduce them to you. We will keep you informed of the timing and progress of Shayne's surgery and recovery. Shayne still has a few weeks before she steps away so you will continue to see her in the bistro spreading joy and orchestrating the day.

Community Meal
Every Wednesday
5:00-7:00 pm

All Are Welcome!!
Community Meal is such a special time at One Bistro. Our sponsors and volunteers are a large reason the evening is so warm, welcoming and yummy. Our sponsors pave the way for Chef to create delicious meals and our volunteers bring the joy and warmth to the atmosphere. Please consider being a sponsor or bringing a volunteer group to One Bistro. We need you!

A sponsorship is $250. A group usually consists of 7 to 10 people. You have options: sponsor and volunteer, sponsor only, volunteer only. We have dates for all three options. If you are interested, please email info@onebistro.org, call or text Diane Dixon at 513-460-0412 or stop in and see Shayne. Any of these can get you on your way to being a part of Community Meal.
"The food was good. Had the blueberry pancakes with the lemon creme. Service was great. Love the pay it forward concept." Gary
More Blessings

Board members, Travis Logsdon and Kyle Thompson are joined by Xenia Rotary Club President, Joe Kennedy, at a recent Rotary meeting at the YMCA in Xenia. Kyle and Travis were invited to give an update on One Bistro and share their personal story of involvement. They topped off their presentation with a dose of Chef Greg’s house made ice cream!

We are delighted to welcome to the One Bistro Board of Directors, Linda Johannes. She and her husband, Rick, are often volunteering or dining in at One Bistro. They also enjoy sponsoring and serving at Community Meal.
Travis Logsdon has also recently joined the One Bistro Board of Directors. Travis and his family are regular Saturday diners and sponsors and volunteers at Community Meal.
