"Great mission, and my sandwich was delicious!" Steve S.

We love when groups come during regular service hours and volunteer together, share the love and serve one another!

American Heritage Girls

These cuties warmed up the bistro on a cold January day.

Jack Dailey and Liam McClean from Beavercreek High School, volunteering their Saturdays to bust the suds in the bistro.

Shane Verdon (right) is a junior at Chaminade Julienne High School. Looking for volunteer hours for his religion requirement at school, Liam visited One Bistro's booth at their career fair last fall. From the first time he came in to serve, he was hooked. He loves the business model of the Community Cafe, where people can pay what they can afford, volunteer for their meal, or pay it forward if they are able. "The atmosphere is so nice and welcoming, the staff and other volunteers are all so nice...and the food is AMAZING!" Shane says. He loves the opportunity to get to know the other volunteers he serves alongside, getting to hear stories about their lives. His younger brother Christian (left) has also joined him to volunteer. "If you are considering a job in the food industry, One Bistro is also a great way to get experience in a positive and stress free environment."

If you have a group that would like to volunteer, please email info@onebistro.org

or give us a call at 937-736-2358.

We will be happy to find the perfect day, time and opportunity for your group.

In Case You Missed it on Facebook

Tom Adams spent his life serving and giving back to the Xenia community where he lived, worked and raised his family. He volunteered, coached and refereed baseball and soccer. He supported his neighbors, mowing lawns, making repairs and giving rides. He delivered meals weekly and made home visits and volunteered in the kindergarten classroom where his daughter taught. He passed away in 2022, but he left such a legacy of service to his kids, grandkids and great grandkids, they wanted to honor him by serving together as a family. When his daughter, Marnie volunteered for a Community Meal with the Greene County Educational Service Center, she knew instantly that her dad would have loved One Bistro and pitched the idea to her family of serving a Community Meal in her dad's honor. They sponsored and served a Community Meal together in memory of Tom in January and did a fabulous job!

It warms our hearts to receive sweet notes like this from past volunteers. Thank you for loving and serving your neighbors!!

Table Sponsors

Table Sponsors make a significant impact in the sustainability of One Bistro; helping us to continue our mission to provide a place where our neighbors eat and come together as one community. Sponsoring a table is a great opportunity for individuals, families, foundations, organizations & businesses to make a real difference in their community!

We have openings for Table Sponsors in 2024! Email or message us for more information at info@onebistro.org.

Putting smiles on faces is what our volunteers do best!

Out and About in our Community

The staff and teachers at Xenia Community Schools had a teacher in-service day and One Bistro was thrilled to be able to partner with them provide a delicious breakfast and XCS gave a donation of 170 Pay It Forward meals.

"A very cool idea. One Bistro is donation supported and ran largely by unpaid volunteers. They'll never refuse anyone a meal, but just ask that you pay what you can, or if you can't pay anything that you volunteer for an hour to pay off your meal when possible. For those who can afford to do so, you can "pay it forward" by paying above and beyond the recommended price. Even with all this said: the food is tremendous and even as "just a restaurant" I'd give it five stars." Kevin J.
